Hi, I think a local musical instrument store may provide the most inexpensive. Someplace such as Guitar World or someplace similar. I would think you shouldn't have to pay more than fifty dollars to get it fixed. Good luck, I hope I was helpful-please comment back as I need some votes to boost rank and THANK YOU for choosing FixYa, Prodzilla

Motorola cp200 attached microphone will send but will not recieve

Assuming you have the correct mic for the radio (HMN9030 or PMNN4013). It is possible
1) you have accidentally plugged the mic into the radio with the radio turned on, (this will cause the radio to receive but not transmit. It can simulate VOX.)
2) you have a bad audio accessory jack,
3) you do not have the mic plugged all the way in (you will feel a slight click when the mic is seated properly)
4) you have a bad mic or bad mic cord.

Possible solutions:
1) With the radio turned off, replug in your mic (feel for the click), then turn your radio on, and see if it works.
2) Try a known good mic from another unit.
3) If none of the above solve the problem, send your radio along with the mic to a repair facility and have the jack tested. (FYI: Flat rate repair on this style radio is currently around $85. Cord replacement on the mics can average $27 to $38.)

Laptop mic problem

Marlene,
Yes, it sounds like the mike cable has gone bad. I have no idea what the repair would cost over there. If you were to take it to a repair shop, they should be able to give you an estimate of how much it would cost. I wouldn't think that they would charge you for the estimate.
Hope this information helps.

Tray is stuck

The gear train is probably jammed or stripped. You would be best off to send it out rather than mess with it.

You could take it apart, but there will not be much you can do yourself with it. If you mess it up even more, you will increase the repair cost.

When you send the unit out, tell them to send you back the negatives ASAP, and you are willing to pay the postage.

As they say "stuff" happens. This is all part of doing business...

Entertech mic ed-9000--Mic stopped working

Could be the wiring in the RCA cable.
Swinging mike to and fro can wear through the power wiring inside the cable.
I'm on my 3rd cable.
Manufacturers have said they recognise this is a common fault with product but it seems they are not taking any steps to rectify.
I found that using the mike with batteries sometimes works.
If you get a new cable may be a good idea to reinforce the top 12 - 18 inches of the cable to avoid same problem in future.
