The only thing that i can tell you is that if the gears on the cd drive are outof allignment you will have to buya new cd drive and put it in the consule. The dive gares are realy difficult to align back up so that as the tray closes it lets the eye rise to the disk. The alignment has to be perfect there is no room for error. It is easier to replace the drive.

My 4 year old put a gamecube disk in my ps3. i got it out but now the ps3 wont pull the ps3 disks in. how do i fix this problem?

Well your disc drive is out of alignment kind of a hard subject to explain so please dont rate me low. Its more then likely the top of your disc drive is not aligned with the bottom of the disc drive you need them to be aligned so it will take discs in and out. Theres gears on the bottom of the cd drives lid. They meet with gears on the top of the bottom part and if they arent aligned they will not accept disc right. Take it apart and with the cd drive lid pulled up hit eject. This will bring the bottom part of the drive into place. Then just easily lay the top part back down and it needs to be directly from the top not side ways. Then when you have your ps3 cd drive lid on you can try to see if it accepts discs right. If it does your good to go if not you need to mess with it a little more. If you need more help explaining just ask I will try to find you a video showing how to do it.

Mega CD 1 loading problem

Yes, but get ready to take it apart. The gears are out of alignment that operate the CD mech, and also dried out. Lithium grease helps it, keeps everything lubricated well. When you hold it vertically the things all move on the inside slightly but they go back again when you set it back down. Look at any washers and where gear shafts or other parts sit.

The disc may be quote, "Corrugated", hence the laser is having a hard time following mis ~ aligned structural pattern. Try to use a CD ~ Lens Cleaner. :)

The disc door wont stay shut it keeps opening

There could be something jamming the disc door, or one of the gears are cracked. If it's the gear, you'll need to get it replaced. Luckily, some online shops sell it cheap.

Door jammed

try opening it it has six screws just remember where it goes then youll see another cover for the cd player also remove the top part then you should see whats inside jamming it and try to yank just a little but be careful on the wires you dont want that severed, now try to pull tray and push back then try to power it up first how the goes or where it jams then you can adjust it. after this place back the parts where they were before and try it again, i hope this helps you thnk you ands let us know if this works and we will try to give our best again..

Clicking noise

continuous clicking could be a few gear-related issues:

-if the pinion gear is slipping against the rack for the disc-load mechanism, you can try to re-align the rack (hopefully it was just forced out of place and can be clicked back). i would suspect this if the noise is relatively quiet and very fast.

-if something is jamming the load mechanism, like the rack is stuck, the pinion gear may be clicking over the teeth of the rack. i would suspect this if the noise is loud and slower.

If the wii is under warrenty i suggest you take it in!!! if not have a repair centre fix it. it will need a new drive.

Wii making a funny noise when loading discs

This is a common defect with Wii's and seems to be getting worse. I suggest you either take it in for warrenty if its covered or have some one replace the drive for you.

Cd rejcter

If it makes sound like its trying to come out. Then hit it right above the console near the front. Also do not have it up on its side. Microsoft has said that when there up right the door will jam. So lay it flat and try gently hitting it near the door. If that all fails you could dissassemble it and look at the wheels and see if they are broke or need cleaning.

Door does not stay closed

The number one quick fix for the DVD drive is to re-align the tray. This is common with CD players, CD changers as well. Many times just from normal use a gear will skip or something will jump track, unless all the pieces are in the right place at the time it powers up it will not work. So by removing the tray, aligning the internal parts to their starting position and re-inserting the tray you can often bring a drive back from the dead
