Question about Projection Televisions

I have a 50h72 rear projection tv from toshiba, my convergence ic's are toast. i need to replace them, i got the ics and have opened the back of the tv. where the bleep do i find these ics inside?

Not sure its the same part making our covergence problem, but when watching t.v has a shaded yellow and blue oval at the bottom of the screen.any possible help with the problem would greatly be appriciated.

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

you have a convergence ampliphier ic failing that will need to be changed and then adjusted
average repair cost for this are 280.00 to 320.00

The red seems to be out of place on my toshiba 50h72 projection t


Replace both convergence ICs they are stk392-110 you will also need at least the six 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free installation instructions so you can do the repair yourself.

50h72 replaces ic's but still don't work


Did you replace the convergence resistors along with the Ics? Also if you replaced the ics with open resistors you have most likely ruined the new ICs. You can get a convergence repair kit for your model at the following link which has the ICs and the resistors for your model, and they provide free tech support and instructions.

Need to test F470 and F850 for open.. Simple continuity to see if either fuse is open.. If F 470 is open replace it and C884 and if F850 is open you probably you may need to replace the two convergence amps STK392-110... Large black Ic's screwed on an aluminum heat sink...

Red convergence will only move up or down


Stk392-110 red convergence IC is bad...normal procedure===

1) pull chassis   2) replace both Stk's for reliable repair

3)re-assemble  4) re-align convergence

 

If you hire a technician, 400.00 is ave. price.
