Question about Sharp Televison & Video

1 Answer

How do I get switch the CH setting from "air" to "cable" and then to "autoprogram" or "search" on my Sharp 13VT-L100 TV - VCR combo? I recently had cable installed on it. But I didn't have the Sharp remote. The remote I had did not allow switching it. If I get a new universal remote will it have a code to access to do this?

Use remote to set menu/settings on cable. I see if I can find user manual to give you exact procedure.

Here is the remote RRMCG1330PESA. Let me know your location if seller does not ship in your area.

Don't buy universal remote, often they do not cover all function, only basic ones. On a combo TV like yours will give you troubles for sure. Link to buy original: RRMCG1330PESA.

I need playback channel for tv to be ch.4 -

Solution 1

How to set the DVD Recorder+VCR’s RF output channel
Turn off the DVD Recorder+VCR, then press and hold
CH (v/V) on the front panel for about five
seconds to change the RF output channel (CH 03 or
CH 04). “RF 03” or “RF 04” appears on the front panel display.

Solution 2

Cable Service With Cable Box
If a cable box is required in your cable system, follow the
instructions shown below. This hookup permits both TV and
DVD Recorder+VCR operation.
To view or record a CATV channel:
1 Tune the TV to the correct video input channel.
2 Set the DVD Recorder+VCR to the output channel of the
cable box using the CH (v / V) or the 0-9 keys on your DVD
Recorder+VCR (e.g., CH3).
3 Select the channel you wish to view on the cable box.

33 channels

you can either try getting the original remote for your player, or buy cheap different universal remotes. i've actually bought remotes that control 8 different devices at the dollar store.each remote & manufactuer controls different devices & settings.just go into the menu setting,[after you program the remote] look for a cable/air setting, then press autoprogram for cable.that should get you passed 32 channels. cheap remotes will vary from$1-$10 & up.you can always return them to the store if they don't work your player. [except the dollar stores.]
good luck.

Try going into player's menu, and set video out or TV type to NTSC.
It might have switched to PAL, or disc is PAL and player is set to any.
