I have a 2000 mitsubishi montero sport, and i cannot find the radio code anywhere.PLEASE help

Call the dealer, but you have to have the serial # and the product # off the radio when you call. You will have to take the radio out to see what the numbers are. I've had to do this several times then i just wrote the code on tope of the radio. But you have to call a Mitsubishi dealer.

Mitsubishi Montero Sport Radio Code

Call your local MItsubishi dealership and ask for the service department.
<BR>They have a computer program where they punch in the serial number from your radio (you have to supply the number) and it will tell them the UNLOCK CODE for your radio. My dealership offered to give it to me free over the phone, if I knew my radio serial number. Enter the code using the buttons on your radio. And write the code down, this will show up everytime your radio looses connection to its power source - the car battery.

Pull out the radio far enough to see the serial number and model number. Take that and the registration to the dealer who will give you the code you need.

Car radio code

I had the exact same problem, I contacted Mitsubishi and they gave me the code.  All I had to have was the serial # (the number you have is the model number - the Serial # is on top of the radio, you will need to pull the radio out a bit to read it) and of course your VIN.  Their contact statement on their website is as follows:

For questions regarding your Mitsubishi vehicle, please contact Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. at 1-888-MITSU2009.

I hope this helps you out with your issue!

Radio unlock procedure
  1. Your vehicle requires that you remove the radio from the vehicle in order to retrieve your radio's serial number.

  • SECTION 1.B

Radio serial#
  1. Found on top of vehicles radio. You must remove radio from vehicle in order to retrieve radio serial number.
  • Some vehicles will have A serial# in the glove box. THIS IS NOT THE RADIO SERIAL# AND MAY NOT BE USED IN ANY WAY TO RETRIEVE CODE!
  • We ask that you not send us this number, as it will only delay your code retrieval process!
  • The radio serial# is found ONLY on vehicles radio chassis.

SECTION 2.B
ALSO

Radio MR or MB#
  1. (Found on top of vehicles radio. You must remove radio from vehicle in order to retrieve radio serial number).
  2. Number will start with MR or MB. You must include all numbers and letters included in serial#, including "MR or MB".

Mitsubishi montero radio unlock

I had the same problem after replacing the battery on my Montero. I bought mine used but luckly the pervious owner had written the 4 digit number down in the owners manual. After finding the number, I had to enter it into the radio by using the station preset buttons. If you can't find or don't have it in the owners manual. You will have to get the model and serial numbers off the radio and contact Mitsubishi or another source to obtain the correct code to reset the radio.

I need a radio code for a 2000 mitsubishi galant

Carefully take the front panel off that surrounds the radio and temperature buttons, it will snap straight out. Wiggle the radio out about two inches, it is a tight fit. Get the serial number off the radio. It is on a sticker on the top, left side. Call a Mitsubishi dealer with the serial number. They will want proof of ownership, so have the title ready. After putting in the four digit serial number, hit the cd button and that enters it.
The code is also written on an antitheft card that comes with the car and may be written in the owners manual in one of the back pages.
