Printer will not scan pictures or documents. It says scanner failure, turn off printer then on again. In doing that it states press enter to print alignment page. Alignment page prints then I follow instructions to align cartridge but it does nothing accept please wait.

I have tried unplugging unit, taking cartridges out shaking them and they are new HP cartridges, so now what????

    Thanks for your help

When printer turned on it normally works for half-an-hour or so then screen says SCANNER FAILURE - TURN OFF PRINTER AND RESTART. Unless I leave it for 10+ minutes before turning the power on again the screen fault remains.

What is the cause of this continuing and apparent fault please?

My HP PSC 1350v prints a test page every time I turn on the printer?

Bet you recently replaced a print cartridge!

That model of printer recalibrates after any cartridge replacement.

Let one of those sheets print out in full. Read what is on the sheet. Place the sheet on the scanner
and press the button that the sheet indicated to be pressed. The printer will go through a alignment
cycle then quit. Once that is finished you should not have to do anything till the next time your change
a print cartridge.

My hp psc 750 will print from my computer, but I cannot make a copy. It keeps saying, "Scanner Failure. Turn off and on again." I have done this several times and it still will not make a copy.

Scanner error

You may want to try resetting the printer to see if the error can be cleared. If not, you may have a hardware problem that will reqiure service to correct the issue.

Printer Partial Reset:
1. Hold down the "Cancel" and Left Arrow buttons while plugging in the power cord.

If that fails you can try a "Hard Reset".

2. Remove the power cable from the back of the machine.
3. Wait 30 seconds.

MY test page always prints

Hi,

I belive that after replacing the INk cartridges, you are experiancing this problem. The Alignment test sheet always prints everytime you turn on the printer, if u haven't completed the Alignment process.

To complete the Alignment process,
>>Once the printer finished printing the Alignmnet test sheet.
>> Place the Test sheet staright on the scanner glass facing down towards right hand corner.
>>Press the scan button(color), the Power ON light will start flashing, wait until it stops flashing.
>>Alignmnet process completed.

Thank You
