You didn't say which version of Windows you have. For Win 7, you can go into the control panel and the network and sharing center. In Win XP you can click on my computer and then there should be a choice on the left side of the screen for network connections.

Www netgear com supportar

A wireless router is an external computer peripheral that accepts an incoming Internet connection, such as that from a cable modem, and converts it into a local wireless signal, allowing computers in the area with wireless adapters to connect to the Internet.

Netgear is a popular manufacturer of wireless routers; the settings on Netgear routers can be changed by logging in to the router with a Web browser.

Determine your wireless router's IP address. Many Netgear routers are set to 192.168.0.1 by default.

In Windows 7, you can find this IP address by clicking "Start," then typing "cmd" in the search box, without clicking "Enter."

When the search completes, right-click on the command icon and select "Run as administrator." In the window that opens, type "ipconfig" and click enter.

Your router's IP address will be shown on the "Default Gateway" line.
In earlier versions of Windows, click "Start," then "Run," then type "Command" in the box, click "OK," then type "ipconfig" and press enter.

Your router's IP will be listed as the "Default Gateway."
Open an Internet browser and type the router's IP address into the address bar.

Enter your router's username and password if prompted to log in. By default, the user name and password may be "admin" and "password."

Change settings within the router's administrative center as necessary.
There will be several menus available where you can set up security for your router and set various communication options.

Choose to apply or save changes as necessary.
Your router's menus should have plainly visible buttons to apply and/or save changes you make to the settings.

Close the browser window when you are finished making changes.

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 that I need to hook up to a Verizon Wireless situation. It has a Netgear card in it, plus the antenna for the back. The NetGear info. on the screen shows it has a Very Good...

Have you installed the Netgear wireless card driver already?

If you did, then go to the network connections on Control Panel and right-click the wireless icon then select "View Available Wireless Networks".

On the left hand side of the window, click "Change advance settings". A window will appear and see if you have a wireless tab. If you don't have the wireless tab, do these steps:

Click Start, then Click Run. Type services.msc and click ok.

Scroll down all the way to the bottom and double-click Wireless Zero Configuration and set it to automatic then click the "Start" button to start the service. Close the window.

Again, go to the network connections in control panel and right-click the wireless icon. Click the Change Advance Settings again and now you'll be able to see the wireless tab. Click it and put a bullet-point to "Let windows manage wireless connections" Click apply and Close or OK.

Right-click again the Wireless icon to view available wireless networks. Wait until the window populates and click the name of your network. Click connect and enter the password if prompted.

Happy surfing!!! ^_^

Problems with WiFi netgear WNDA3100

the drivers should be installed in windows 7 by default, their so called "smart wizard" has some compatibility issues with windows 7, I get it to load up and it will shut down or glitch out. What I did was uninstall the downloaded driver and use the default windows drivers, flipped the switch off to my built in G wifi adapter and the netgear automatically kicked in and took over as the default wireless adapter.
