That's very odd. My 6930 touchpad was too sensitive so I went to Synaptics and downloaded the driver which includes a lot of settings and adjustments you can try.

Power is plugged in , battery is plugged in not charging with 0% available

If your battery will not charge, you need to run a test on some components on the laptop. The battery, the charger and the laptop itself. Once you detect the faulty conponent then you replace it with a new one.

To test the battery:
1.Power off the laptop,
2.Take out the battery,
3.Insert it in another laptop,
4.Check of it will charge,

If the battery holds a charge there, then it means the problem is not from the battery, but if it does not hold a charge, then it means the battery is defective and need to be replaced with a new one.

To test the charger:
1.Unplug the charger from the present laptop,
2.Connect it to another laptop to see if it will charge.

If it charges the laptop, then it means the charger is alright, and if it does not charge the laptop, then it means the charger is bad and need to be replaced.

To test the laptop:
1.Turn off the laptop,
2.Disconnect your present charger,
3.Remove your present battery pack,
4.Insert a well tested battery into the laptop,
5.Connect a well tested charger to the laptop.

If it powers on, then it and charges, then it means the laptop is working fine, but if it does not charge, then it means the connection port of the laptop is bad.Hope this information was helpful.

Acer factory backup does not start my computer

I have the exact same laptop as you. I've had this problem before. I bought the DVD's from Acer to reinstall everything and there are times when they don't work. I left it sit for a week and it stayed on the same screen. I would just keep trying, or order the DVD's from Acer. It will cost about $30 but might be your only chance.
I don't know if this is a flaw of this computer or not, but even with a different HDD in it it does the same.

I have an Acer Aspire 6930 it loads with a black screen and cursor only. Cannot use CTL + ALT +DEL to get to task manager, I can use F* to get to boot options but can not get in to safe mode or any other...

Check your BIOS and ensure your installed amount of RAM is correct. If not you have a bad stick. If it is correct, and you have more than a single stick of memory installed, try removing one and restarting, then the other. If there is a bad stick and it's not obvious this will help you find it. Also check your processor status while you're in the BIOS.
