It's not clear what BRAND of speaker we're talking about here. If it's JAMO...

It IS bi-amp capable. Is the jumper in place?

You could disconnect the jumper and measure its resistance of the main speaker with an ohmmeter, dead short or open is a dead speaker. Something around its specified impedance would be normal. Take a small battery and just briefly touch the speaker leads. It should make a static-like sound. If it DOES, go back to the wiring checkout.

Does your 12 volt remain at 12 after it shuts off or does it drop to 0?..This model was known for issues with the LED lamps themselves but Ive seen a number of sets where the LED's were fine and it was the power supply or main boards bad

Speakers inop. on kenwood reciever

The speaker protection circuit sounds to be engaged. This protects you speakers form damage if a fault condition occurs inside the amp. Generally speaking, unless you have good experience at fault finding electronics, then this may be a job for a repair guy. If you want to know more about diagnosing the problem, get back to me here. Good luck :)

The center channel amplifier in the main unit isn't working. Check the warranty. If it's still in force Yamaha will fix it free. If out of warranty, they'll give you an estimate.

My amp quit working

ok I thought I anwered this one but first thing to try is disconnect all your speakers and see if the light goes out if it doesnt then your gonna need a schematic and a working know how on solid state amplifiers. first check al the outputs for the speakers for dc If theres dc on an output then that output device is shorted or leaky. Ive have open drivers as well as current control transistors leaky or shorted to that made the protection come on.. Good Luck
