For continued protection against flames, a ceramic fuse is specified.

You should be able to get white or gray ceramic fuses from local appliance parts stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, Wal-Mart, etc. Or I can send you one for $5.00 postpaid.

There are condensation, water drips between the glass on the door of my over the counter microwave/convection oven. Is this a problem? How can I clean this? Microwave is only 6 months old.

HELLO.

Yes.Water can only drip between the glass on the door when the door do not seal properly due to dirt on the microwave door.follow these steps given below to clean the door.

1. Unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet to prevent electrocution. Place the microwave in a well-lit area to be able to locate the fuse.

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the outer cabinet of the microwave, and follow the power cord to the fuse. The fuse is located 2 to 3 inches within the microwave and is attached to the power board.

3. Observe the fuse to determine if it is blown. Blown glass fuses will produce burn marks on nearby surfaces, or the internal fuse wire will be black and melted, while ceramic fuses show no outward appearance of being blown.

4. Determine if a ceramic fuse is blown by testing it with an ohmmeter. If the ohmmeter reads zero ohms, your fuse is not blown. Other readings on the ohmmeter show that your fuse is blown.

5. Replace the blown fuse by popping it out of its holder, and snapping a new fuse in its place. Tighten the fuse clips by squeezing them together with your fingers.

6. Replace the outer cabinet of the microwave, and plug the microwave back into the electrical outlet. Test the microwave to see if it's working properly.

Thanks.

Is there a design change for the 20amp[4amp ceramic minifuse in- line holder] to just using a regular 20 amp 250 volt fusetron?

You can use a regular glass fuse as long as it's rated the same and fits the holder. Microwave ovens use a ceramic fuse to prevent the possibility of little pieces of glass under the cover if the fuse should break. But other than the body the fuses are the same.

HOW TO REPLACE THE FUSE OR RESET CIRCUIT BREAKER?

The fuse in most panasonics is under the exterior cover You undo the screws in the bottom of both sides and the top at the rear of the unit. Lift the surround up and away. This should then expose the inner works shell. On the left of the top you should see a fuse ( some are Ceramic block types of 30amp others are just heavy duty glass fuse types). If you replace that fuse all should be reinstated. Replace the outer cover and test.

Daewoo Microwave KOG 867 T9-DEAD??

There could be a main fuse inside the unit. Mine has one that is ceramic, sort of like the old glass car fuses but ceramic instead of glass. Digi-Key has all kinds of fuses, www.digikey.com.

Plug it in, does nothing. . .main fuse is fine

I had one that got zapped during a thunderstorm. Deep inside there was a ceramic fuse, looked like the old glass kind in cars except it was ceramic. Bought a replacement through Digi-key, it's worked fine ever since. Point is, there may be a separate 'main fuse' that you can't get to without opening it up.

Nothing working - just quit. Power source ok.

There are 3 fuses in that microwave. I had a similar issue. The one that I had to replace was the little ceramic fuse that is in line after the big fuse which is connected to the main line.
I couldn't find the ceramic fuse but I replaced it was a glass one about a year ago and it has been working since then. The fuse if located on the right front panel.
