Hi FixYa.My Guru Dili sugested I use software to convert the wav format ,which he said was taking up to much disc space .On converting the wav format to MP3 I have found that the conversion did not reduce the MB sum considerably less than the wav format .However I have tried reducing the rip speed on my media player but I have yet to compare the output quality of the sound at the reduced rip speed on my MP3 player .So for Windows XP,- media player,- rip options, then alter the scale down to a lower scale reading . File format error - Transcend T.sonic 610(1gb)

I had the same problem. I had formatted the player's drive using Windows explorer and the got this error: "File Format error" while trying to play any mp3 file.
I went to the command prompt. Deleted all files:
E:\> del *
Then I copied the MP3 files again in the T.sonic MP3 player. All MP3 files played fine after this.

MP3 Player plays only 25 songs, capacity 1GB (861 MB)

Seems like a big problems you got there...

I reccomened re-formatting your drive to fat32 (for windows users) and giving it a second try.

I had the saem trouble a while back with my iPod Video 60gb and noticed that it was storing huge amounts of data that wasnt meant to be there. After the reformat it all worked again.

You also sure its not a full drive? because my Q-Be used to say "file error" on a full drive (vista bug)

---Give reformatting a go though.

Sandisk Sansa e130

I have a 1GB SD card in my E130 Sansa. I had fill it up to 998MB. The only problem is that I have to leave 3MB in the flash unit. I guess it need it for constructing the Music Library.
The Flash (512MB) and the SD card (1GB) are both in FAT32.
I guess that it may be a problem of the SD card itself and not a problem of the Sansa.
1) Have you tried to read the SD card with a card reader (without the Sansa)?
2) Have tried formatting the SD card (not a quick format, but a real one) in FAT32 (be careful about that).

Not able to play all songs

some songs may not be in correct format

also, could require a firmware upgrade:

T.sonic cannot operate after it was formatted in Windows
Formatting T.sonic using the “Quick Format” or “Full Format” option in Windows destroys the
default format of the T.sonic. To retrieve the default format, you must link to
http://www.transcendusa.com/ and download the firmware updates for the T.sonic.
