LDR40- I brought a replacement batery but it still not holding the charge for long. Is there an intenal battery that needs to be change also?

Hello.

With most power issues, the most common reasons are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty. It's possible that your new battery is faulty and needs to be returned for a replacement.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Change or charge battery
Hi, depending on what happens when the batery is fully charged, does it go flat aftera day or two or does it stay charged? If it keeps going flat take it to a battery centre to test the amps that the batery makes. I f the amps is out the battery is dead.

But

If the batery is fine after charged and the amps is correct and the bike still makes the batery flat.
Then you have to replace the Stator and the magnitor.

I have an m5310 and i have troubles with the battery charge i bought a new battery but is still the same , i plug the notebook to the ac power and batery start to load (the front green light is on ) after...
Try to perform power drain on the motherboard.

heres the steps:
take out the battery
unplug the power adapter
press and hold power button for 30secs
put the battery back in
plug in the power adapter
power on the computer

if same issue will happen then you need a battery replacement.

replace the batery whit new one, is beter. i have nubira1 from 2000 and in 2005 i have this problem and replaced the batery whit a 65 ampers one.

Dead battery, get a new one. Only buy AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery for motorcycles, not lead acid, will last much longer.

ok Try Ebay, if not www.alibaba.com sure you can find the batery there.
Other ways:
the batery its not charging at all?
you can buy a Universal Batery Cell phone carger, these ones got the ability of charge some times baterys whit thiis kind of problem.
Make an adaptation from other batery (just look details as Voltage, amps) sometimes its require soldering directly to your phone :S (pretty extreme)

The batery may not be holding a charge anymore, try removing the battery and clean the contact's, if that do'es not work the battery may need to be replaced.

No Power when turn on so battery wont charge
Try leaving it off, but plugged into the wall outlet so the batteries can charge up. If they are new, they are probably without a charge. The instructions should indicate how long it needs to charge - probably most of the day.

Batery hang problem
batteries have a charge memory in the, when you purchase a new battery the best thing to do is to fully drain the battery before charging it up, this will tell the battery that it needs full charge, if you charge the battery before this it will only charge the battery to a certain percentage.
what you need to do now is find a way to fully discharge the batteries

Dead battery won't hold a charge
Replace battery if it doesn't hold charge. make sure, that its not getting drained by something beeing on. You can do a fast test. remove negative batery terminal and run a test light between the negative cable and battery post. see if test light comes on. If it does, you have a draw on the system thats draining the battery. Then you will need an DVOM /digital volt meter and check how many amps you are drawing out of the battery. But its probably just a dead battery. Replace it. Good luck.
