Give me a website of complete broadband internet installation

SETTING UP A BROADBAND CONNECTION
First you need to decide what type of broadband and Internet service you require and these are -
1. DSL that uses your existing telephone line.
2. Cable that uses a cable service and can include a cable TV service.
3. A wireless 3G network uses the mobile/cell phone network and can be separate or combine with your cell phone account. This type of Internet connection uses an USB wireless device shaped like an USB memory stick.
Note - Combined services generally offer discount pricing and may include a modem/wireless router.

If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service then your laptop with a wireless card can then connect to the Internet. You can also connect to a free WiFi hot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc. using the wireless card in your laptop.
If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access the Internet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to check the service coverage area where you need Internet service.
Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to check with the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and the cost of the various plans.
Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed the monthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider, their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installation CD.

Internet connectivity problems HP pavilion a6230n desktop pc

1.Unplug all phone, fax and satellite TV cables from the wall phone jacks.

2.Plug the double DSL filter into the wall phone jack where the 2701HG-B will be located.

3.Plug the phone wire (for phone, fax, etc.) into the jack on the filter labeled "Phone."

4.Plug the gray phone cable into the other jack on the filter labeled "DSL."

5.Add the single DSL filters on all remaining phone jacks in the same manner, plugging the device phone cables into the filter. The single filters only have one jack.

Ethernet Connection

6.Plug the power adapter into the power port on the back of the 2710HG-B router and then plug the other end into a power outlet. This will cause the power light on the front of the router to turn green.

7.Plug the free end of the gray phone cable into the port on the back of the router labeled "Phone Line."

8.Plug one end of the yellow Ethernet cable into one of the four ports on the back of the router labeled "Ethernet."

9.Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your computer's Ethernet port. The Ethernet light on the router should now be green.

Wireless Connection

10.Plug the power adapter into the back of the 2701HG-B and the wall power outlet.

11.Plug the gray phone cable into the jack on the back of the router labeled "Phone Line."

12.Open the Network and Sharing Center on your computer by right-clicking the Internet connection icon in your taskbar.

13.Click "Set up a new connection or network" and follow the instructions provided by the wizard to set up the wireless connection on your computer.

14.Enter the SSID and WEP key when prompted. The SSID is "2WIRE" followed by the last three digits of the router's serial number, which is located on the bottom side of your 2701HG-B router. You will also be prompted to enter a WEP encryption key, also found on the bottom side of the router. The WEP key is the 10 digit number that appears in brackets under the first bar code.

Where is the wireless switch on the dell vostro 200

Unlike notebook computers, most desktops don't come with wireless networking built in. I can't find any mention on Dell's site that the Vostro 200 has wireless capability, so this computer doesn't have a wireless switch. To use your desktop computer on a wireless network, you'll need to install a wireless adapter. USB adapters are very easy to use since you just have to plug them in. They're not expensive and you can easily find them at retail stores and online.

How can i connect my desktop computer to the internet plz i need someone to help

Currently, the most common way to connect a desktop system to the internet, is by using the network jack to connect to a broadband cable modem or DSL modem. To do either you must have the service from either you cable provider or phone company (For DSL) and have the modem device for the service. Fees run $20 to $50 a month depending on speed you subscribe.
You connect the device to the system using a CAT5 network cable to a RJ45 (8 wire telephone type jack). Some Cable/DSL modems also have USB connection capability for the few systems these days that do not have a built in RJ45 connector To use them, you install the associated software, then connect the USB cable when prompted.
If you don't have Cable/DSL then dial up telephone modem is the next option, this requires a telephone modem that has an RJ11c telephone cord jack connection, most current computers only have a telephone modem as an option, but they can still be bought for around $20 and you will require a dial up internet service (Few remain, one is Netzero in the USA)

Can siemens speedstream 4200 be used with wifi antenna. do not want dsl.

The Siemens is a DSL modem and doesn't meet with your requirements.
Wireless connections to the Internet can be achieved by several methods and it depends upon the method of delivery by the Internet Service Provider in your location.
The most common is by DSL and cable, the modems that are used with DSL and cable connection can have a built-in wireless router. Your computer will require a wireless card to connect to the modem/wireless router and the range is restricted to approx. 100 ft depending where the wireless router is located within the building.

The laptop's wireless card can be a built-in device or a plug-in device eg a PCMCIA card or a USB device. and these can also connect to a wifi hot spot in locations such as McDonalds. Star Bucks etc.

There is another method that can connect into the Internet that uses a USB wireless device that connects to a G3 network, bacically a type of mobile transmission and the device is locked into a specific Internet Service Provider. This method gives a wider mobile range (even across states) of connecting to the Internet but usually at a higher cost.

Basically you need to see what the Internet Service Providers offer in your location. Beware of the costs of the various plans they offer in broadband speed, their download limits and the penality for exceeding the limits etc.

When you decide which method you choose, you need to consider setting up your wireless network securely to prevent unauthorized access.

Wireless adapter

Go for an external USB wireless adapter, and the speed may vary depending on barriers and the distance from the router, the max. distance is about 30 ft from the router.
Tell me if anything else you want to know abt the wireless connection?

I have verizon dsl and I want to setup my laptop to the wireless connection.

You'll need to purchase a wireless router first.. Your DSL( phone) line will plug into that ( make sure you tell the sales person what you are trying to do and who your internet provider is" verizon") and they should be able to assist you in selecting the right router. Once you have a wireless router operational, follow the directions that came with your laptop as well as the router for setting up a wireless network in your home..
