Question about Directv D10 DTV Receiver
A friend gave me a brand new DirecTV receiver, still in the box. I know it's a few years old, but when I try to hook it up, it gets stuck on "acquiring signal" and won't move past it.
Is the receiver too old or is there some way to fix this?
I guess the obvious question is, do you have a DirecTV dish installed on your house? If you do, then most likely the cable you have plugged into the Satellite Input on the back of the receiver isn't connected to the dish. I would recommend calling DirecTV and having them send a tech out to double check the system.
