Broken handle on crockpot

One of the handles on the crockpot is broken and I can't find one to replace it.

I ordered a set of 2 handles from Goodman's http://www.goodmans.net/item.asp?sc=taf&k=fz%2D581&n=fz%2D581&d=649 Fits All part #581. The total with shipping is $6.91. Hopefully it will work.

You say it's somewhat new - could it have been manufactured between 1999 and 2004? If so, check out www.rivalrecall.com for information about a safety recall due to breaking handles.

You can go on line to www,rival.com, or easier , you can look up your local dealer in the phone book white or yellow pages, which I feel to be your best bet. They will be able to order for you what you need or possibly have your part in stock. If your handle has broke so have others. Give it a shot. GOOD LUCK.

Go to www.crockpot.com. This is the Rival site for slow cookers/crockpots.  Click on replacements and scroll down. Enter you model number in the space provided. The site will give you info on parts and prices. I think a new lid is $10.00. I don't recall seeing a price or part # for just a handle. Hope this helps and if you are successful getting your part, please give Fixya feedback on my solution. Thanks!

Broken lid handle for rival crockpot
Contact the manufacturer and see if they sell replacement parts.

Alternative:
Depending on how bad the lid handle was broken.
You may be able to use something like Gorilla glue to piece it back together. Good stuff!

Handle on glass lid is broken on rival crockpot model 37601
I went to Home Depot and picked out a nice little round cabinet handle. Took a small wood screw and plastic washer (milk jug plastic) and installed it. Plastic washer goes between screw and glass lid from inside. Years later still works, but untreated wood handle is cracked. But still works!
