I have got an edge card and i am trying 2 get it to work i have downloaded the zip file of the edge-ds site and extracted the files and dragged it onto the sd card and put nds file games that have been modified then its says to put the memory card into the edge card and put it into the nintendo ds and play the games.But when i put the edge card in to the ds all i get it a white screen with the message (EDGE.DAT tidak menemukan!).Also its says on the instruction on the website (with the directory structue preserved)to the root of your mirco sd card.Could you please tell me what this means.

If by ps you mean PC then that is very easy. Please note that it is illegal to downlaod games if you dont already own. Only download to make backups. Now Lets start the tutorial.
The first thing you do is to find Roms for your favorite DS games. You can try Google, CoolRoms.com, And various other sites.
The download will probably be in a .rar or .zip format so you need Winrar to extract it.
When you have the extracted rom file the the name of the file should be YOURGAME.nds
then just drag and drop to your games folder on your Mt TT.

sounds like you will need to find an updated version of firmware for the acekard. game system updates will usually have some kind of patch included with them to block the use of homebrew devices

R4 couldn t find ds menu dat

Hi,

Did you install the R4 kernel?

If you didn't click here, scroll to the bottom of the page and download the "English Kernel v1.8" (I'm assuming you want English).

1) Firstly connect your micro SD card and then extract all the files from the zip file and copy them all to the card.

2) Next put your .nds files, mp3 etc. onto the SD card (anywhere in the root of the card is fine).

3) Put your SD card into the R4, pop it into the DS/DSL and that should be it.

Copy & paste the link they gave you (everything within the 'www' to the '.zip') and paste it in your address bar at the very top of your browser (not your search engine field). This is a direct link and will prompt you to open or save the file. Choose 'Save' and then save it to your desktop. You'll have to extract the .zip file once you've downloaded it.

And I assume they gave you another link for the Vista/XP2000 update? Do the same thing as I mentioned above.

I had this problem for awhile. Go to the R4DS home page (google it) and download the most recent firmware. If you have a R4DS clone, then you will need to find the home page of that device and download the firmware there. If the files are zipped, extract thim with the default Windows zipped files manager or 7-zip. Copy all the files inside to the root of your 2gb card. This should fix the problem.

First get the R4 OS installed onto the card (into the root dir), then make a sub directory called NDS. Put your .NDS files into that directory. you should now have a couple of sub dirs, NDS, Moonshl2, and r4iMenu or something similar. and some r4 OS files in the root directory.

R4 should boot, then pick the left icon (games) and load a game from the resulting list.

Yes you must extract the files. It won't play from a zip file. all files must end in .NDS for them to work. There are a lot of cool homebrew out there for these cards, have fun.

How to put the nds download games in memory card,and in my NDS?

put your mem card in the computer and format the card to fat not fat32.

if you got a software disc with it put the files on to the micro sd card if you didnt then download files from r4s web site and put these on the micro sd card.

then download the nds files from the web (make sure they are ***.nds not zip files) then just put them on to the mem card. insert the mem card in to your r4 and happy playing.

when i say put them on you can drag and drop file or right click and the send them to your mem card.

Cannot find menu dat file

To format any drive just insert the memory, right click over your memory drive in My PC window, and there should be an option to Format this drive, formatting will erase all the card contents so make a backup in your computer first.

When you click on "format" a window will appear to chose FAT or FAT32 (try FAT32 first then if not working try FAT), dont have to do nothing on the size option, write a label for the drive if you want, not needed, let Quick Format clear, click on start button and you'll see a proccess bar, when it finish it tell you and you have a formatted drive.

Put the sistem files and one rom to test again in the memory, test it on your DS. Be sure you have the right files for your card, the www.R4ds.cn site only supports R4 cards, not R4 III, R4 SDHC or any fake non R4 hardware.

So many problem...what's wrong

Assuming you are using the "Edge" card.

You need to download http://www.edge-ds.cn/downloads/EDGE-OS-1.4.zip
Then unzip the file using 7Zip, of WinZip and
1. Clear your memory card.
2. Put all the files (from the unzipped file) onto your memory card.
3. Check it all works with the DS.
4. Remove memory card, load games.
5. Play.

i went to there website

i went to downloads and downloaded the new edge os version and then read the readme for instructions and u shud be fine
