Many times an operating system will refuse to shut down because of computer Registry error problems. For example, if you download and install tune up 2010, it may fix your registry automatically for you however if it fails to, your operating system will continue to fail to shutdown. Device drivers are very well known for causing this error and if you have installed a new device and your computer is not picking up the new device properly, then the computer will not shut down. There are several forms of viruses that cause the system to stay on, power problems may cause the system to crash during a storm and thus damage the computer registry. A system defragmentation, cleanup, along with a registry clean would be the first best ideas

MY COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN WHEN I PLUG IN THE WEBCAM

Hi, If the computer shuts down after plugging in the Webcam, there might be an issue with the power supply of your computer. IT only means that the power on the tower is not ample enough to get the webcam going. You can check the power settings of your hardware on the bios. Cheers!!

Cant get my computer to pick up camera

Try other USB ports on your computer if you have them free. You can also try reloading the driver for it. You cna check to see if your computer sees the webcam by right clicking on your My Computer and selecting Properties. You will then go to the Hardware tab and then select Device Manager. in the list you should see the webcam down in the USB area. If not you could have a faulty webcam or the computer can not see if because of a bad USB port.

Best of luck and have a Happy and safe 4th of July

How do i make my camera from my computer work?

First test it on this free webcam test site. If you can't see yourself right away click the drop down box of choicse under the Live Camera window and select your webcam. If you still can't see yourself then you need to reload the software drivers, either from disc or the Microsoft web site.

Computer Shut down

The only thing that I have had to fix it, its not really a solution, but its a nice temporary fixer. Is that you unplug it after you used it. Then it won't freeze up on you.
