Resetting the phone number currently displayed on the top of the page

I am unable to locate the manual we had for this machine. We purchased if for a different office location and have now put it in use in this office. I need to know how to reset the number ......is there an online manual, or how can i get a new one? Thank You I need to set the fax up with new number and no manual

On your fax control panel, press the MENU button. Choose either INITIAL SET-UP or FAX SET-UP, from the display. You should be able to scroll through the settings until you come to either HEADER, TITLE, NAME, STATION ID., or PHONE NUMBER. You can then use the number and letter keys to change the title and phone number.

    Go to www.brother-usa.com. Left click on SUPPORT, then on the SUPPORT OPTIONS list, left click on MANUALS AND DOCUMENTATION. You can then download the manual for your model.

How bout when you are copying a document, is it not printing the whole documents as well? Pls try to print a nozzle check

Print the nozzle check pattern to determine whether the ink ejects properly from the Print Head.

1. Make sure that the machine is turned on, open the Front Feeder, and extend the Output Paper Support.

2. Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder or the Front Feeder.

Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the left.

3. Press the Paper Feed Switch to select the paper source where you have loaded paper.

4. Print the nozzle check pattern.

(1) Press the Menu button.
(2) Use theleftright.gif button to select Maintenance/settings, then press the <OK> button.
The Maintenance/settings screen is displayed.
(3) Use theleftright.gif button to select Maintenance, then press the <OK> button.
The Maintenance screen is displayed.
(4) Use the updown.gifbutton to select Nozzle check and then press the <OK> button.

(5) Use theupdown.gif button to select Yes and then press the <OK> button.
The nozzle check pattern is printed, and the pattern confirmation screens are displayed alternately.

If that didn't printer correctly run some deep cleaning.

Perform this steps when you have a good printout from copying.

If not then chances are you need to replace the print head...

Wrong Fax Number on Transmission Report


To change the fax number, do the following:
  1. Press Menu/Set 0 3
  2. Your station ID should appear, use back arrow (<) to move the cursor to the position where you want to change the number
  3. Press Menu/Set
This procedure will change your phone number which will be displayed on all cover pages and Tx reports

How do I change the company name that's displayed on the top of the page of a fax??? It's a Canon Faxphone B740.


On the right hand key pad
1). Press Function
2). Press 01 (data registration
3). Press set twice
Display the tel number, change if that is wrong
4). Press set twice again
Enter the company name (unit name)
Use the numeric keys-max 24 characters

Faxing to several numbers


Sending Broadcasting Faxes:

Using the BROADCASTING BUTTON on the control panel you can use the broadcasting fax feature. 1. Load the document(s) face down into the ADF. 2. Adjust the document resolution to suit your fax needs.Press BROADCASTING on the control panel.4. Enter the number of the remote machine using the number keypad. 5. Press enter to confirm the number.The display ask you to enter another fax number to send the document. 6. To enter more fax numbers, press 1 to select "YES" and repeat steps 4 and 5. You can add up to 10 destinations. NOTE: You cannot use group dial numbers for another fax number. 7. When you finish entering fax numbers, press 2 to select "NO" at a "ANOTHER NO" prompt.

The document is scanned into memory before transmission. The display shows the memory capacity and the number of pages being stored in the memory.
The machine begins sending the document in order of the numbers you entered..Hope this helps

Need to reset savin 3740 fax to factory defaults


Found documentation of Ricoh's website. They are the manufacturor of Savin products. The default access code is 2222. Entering this allowed me to get into the network settings and change the IP scheme.

Hope this helps.

  1. Press the [Menu] button on the Control Panel until 'Reports' is displayed on the top line of the Display Screen.
  2. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until one of the following reports is displayed, and then press the [Enter] button to print the report.
Report / List Description Phonebook List This list shows all of the numbers currently stored in the machine's memory as Speed Dial and Group Dial numbers.
NOTE: This list can also be printed by pressing the Phonebook button on the Control Panel.
Sent Fax Report This report shows information on recently sent faxes. System Data List This list shows the status of the user-selectable options. This list can be printed to confirm any modifications to settings that have been modified. Scheduled Job Information This list shows the documents currently stored for Delayed faxes. The list shows the starting time of the Delayed fax. Message Confirmation This report shows the fax number, the number of pages, the elapsed time of the job, the communication mode, and the communication results. You can set up your machine to automatically print the message confirmation report after each fax job. Junk Fax Number List This list shows up to 10 fax numbers specified as the junk fax numbers by using the Junk Fax Setup menu. When the Junk Fax Barrier feature is turned on, incoming faxes from those numbers will be blocked. This feature recognizes the last 6 digits of the fax number set as a remote fax machine’s ID. Multi-communication Report This report is automatically printed after sending documents from more than one location. ***Storing a Number for Speed Dialing*** 1 Press Phone Book on the control panel. 2 Press Phone Book or the scroll button (􀂥 or 􀂊) to display ?Store&Edit? on the bottom line of the display. Press Enter. 3 Press Enter when ?Speed Dials? appears on the display. The display prompts you to enter a location number, showing the first available number. 4 Enter a one or two-digit speed dial number between 0 and 79, using the number keypad or scroll button (􀂥 or 􀂊), and press Enter. If a number is already stored in the location you chose, the display shows the number to allow you to change it. To start over with another speed-dial number, press Upper Level. 5 Enter the number you want to store using the number keypad and press Enter. To insert a pause between numbers, press Redial/Pause. It is called 'Station ID', press Menu/Set 1 then 3 then put in your number.
