Buy a memory card reader for your pro duo card and bypass the cable connection from camera-sounds like bad driver or software issue-card reader should be plug and play with no software and should download no problems!

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Hi helenarc09,

I would suggest you to connect your camera to your PC in MASS storage mode , instead of the suite mode, or the software mode.

When you connect the camera in MASS storage mode, you get a removable drive in your My Computer option and then , you can just go inside the drive and find all your photos in different directories , then all you need to do is to select the ones you want to copy and then paste those images on your hard disk folder or your desktop.

Let me know in case you have any queries.

Hope this helps ..:) Your feed back would be appreciated.

How can i download the pictures from my camera to the Computer ?????

Hi yazmin427,

To download pictures from your camera to your computer , all you need to do is follow the below steps :-

1 - Power on the Camera,

2 - Insert the USB cable in the camera to connect the camera to the computer.

3 - Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer.

4 - You would probably get an option of mass storage or something else along with it.

5 - Make sure you select Mass storage mode.

6 - As soon as you select Mass storage mode , you would find that a drive has been installed , which is a removable drive in my computer.

7 - Open up this drive from my computer and find your images inside.

8 - Then all you need to to is select the images you want to copy , and press ctrl + C buttons , and then make a new folder on your computer / desktop / hard disk and then press ctrl + V buttons and you would find all the images are being copied to your computer successfully.

Hope this helps ..:) Your feedback would be appreciated.

Hi,

The "USB mode" and "Connecting to Mass Storage" message will get displayed when the Camera is connected to the Computer and is recognized by the Computer as a Mass Storage device. This is not an error message and is a normal operation.
You can change the Mass Storage settings in the Camera (depends on the model) The USB Select or USB Connect option in the Camera can be changed to PTP, Mass Storage or PictBridge mode. Set the option in the Camera to PTP and connect it to the Computer and check if the Computer is recognizing the connection. Once the computer is recognized, it appear as a removable Drive.
You can transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer from the Removable Drive by copying and pasting.

My sony cybershot DSC-W35 digital camera says Format error

Hello,

In regards to your settings on your camera, I would suggest trying Auto first and then Mass Storage second. Auto in theory should detect the proper settings needed and adjust automatically. Mass Storage setting would treat the camera with your card like a flash (thumb drive) and would work also, however the software included with your camera will most likely work best with the auto setting. One quick question before we get too deep into this, is the card in your camera a brand new one or does it have pictures on it?
