Did you clean the heat exchanger (condenser)? It should be cleaned 3-4 times a year

Hi I have a night store heater model 79168 in my new home and no idea how to use it!! Please help :)

Here is a good article for Dimplex, a storage heater manufacturer, that explains the the theory and how it works. I'm sure you will find it interesting. http://www.dimplex.com/storage_heaters#

Basically, thermal storage heaters heat ceramic bricks during off peak hours (during the night), store the heat to be used during peak hours (during the daylight hours), when electricity is more expensive per kilowatt hour.

Hope this helps you.

My dimpex electri heater model 6902340100 suddenlt died. Is there a reset or a fuse to restore it to use? The main on off switched seemed to freeze in one position then the unit stopped working.

It just may need resetting. If you can, turn OFF the Master Control Switch and unplug the heater. Leave unplugged for 12 to 15 minutes. Plug the heater back in and turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. If everything works as normal, then the heater successfully reset itself. If this continues to be an issue, unplug the heater and call Dimplex USA, Technical Service 888-346-7539.

Hope this helps to solve your problem. Please be kind enough to let me know.

I have a dimplex springbourne fire and the heater shuts off after it has been on for a short time what is the problem with the unit

Apparently, the heater is overheating and the overload switch is shutting the heater element off.
Contact Dimplex USA Technical Service at 888-346-7539 for assistance in solving this problem.

I have a dimplex electralog model cs4416 and it is still heating but will not blow the heat out what can i do

I beleive the heater and fan switch are a dual unit. Mine has a AUOne ST 360. I pulled the part outand it the copper is very pitted and corroded. The problem I have found is that this switch is made in China and I have had no luck finding a US distributor.Electralog/Dimplex... has an toll free number but it is hard to get through. 1-888-346-7539. If anyone gets through on thier problem, please ask about price and delivery and where to order. I would love to see this posted.

I have a Dimplex XL6N heater in my bathroom which was already there when we moved in a few months ago. It has worked OK up to now but has suddenly stopped working though the light on the power switch still...

Hi Fiona, Unless you a little about elec. and have or get a multi-meter to test the circuits I would suggest to call someone. To test it yourself FIRST MAKE SURE THE POWER IS DISCONNECTED!! Then you will need to disconnect the element and ohm it out to see if it is open or closed. If you get a reading then it is closed and ok. There are also limit switches that keep the heater from over heating that will fail. Other than that there's not much to a heater. If the fan does not come on it's probably a relay.
