Not able to print from computer I have an lexmark 4270

Is your printer connected to your PC? Is it plugged in and turned on? Is paper and ink properly loaded? If all is ok, try this: Shut down your PC and printer. UNPLUG PRINTER FROM pc and wall outlet. Turn on PC and wait until it is fully initialized. Plug the printer into wall outlet and turn it on. Connect printer to PC via USB cable. The PC should display a NEW HARDWARE FOUND messsage. Next, your PC will try to install the printer by searching for the proper driver for it. If no driver is found, you can download it from http://support.lexmark.com If you have the printer installed, try the following: On your windows screen, left click START. Left click on CONTROL PANEL, and left click on PRINTERS. Find your printer icon in the PRINTERS window and RIGHT CLICK on the printer icon. From the drop-down window, make sure that PAUSE PRINTING is NOT checked off. Next, left click on PROPERTIES at the botom of menu. In the PROPERTIES WINDOW, GENERAL tab, left click on the PRINT TEST PAGE button. If it does not print, try following the on-screen troubleshooting instructions.

Can't connect to computer to do printouts


I believe the cord between printer and computer is an ordinary USB cable, available from lots of places in different lengths, and I suggest you try to get one and see if it does the trick.

Lexmark 4270 won't print after I had my computer repaired.


Try uninstalling and reinstalling your printer software, some places accidently take out drivers by accident and you need to reinstall them

Printer 4270 prints only a partial page and then stops


Thanks for the help. I followed your recommendation of uninstalling the Lexmark program and reinstalling it. Note that I had done this previously and still had the problem. However, following your advice, the third time must have been a charm. The problem has been solved.

All you need to do is push the option button, keep pushing option button to scroll through settings. you will find the print all function for faxes. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Lexmark all in one 4270 won't print in black


I know your problem. I just put in new cartridges and it will print the test page, but nothing else. Did you get an answer

maybe the print drivers went haywire? remove them, from your system, and then get new ones here
