Question about Dacor CM24P
Hi, I see you have a Dacor coffee maker. I had one installed about 8 months ago (CM24P) and I haven't been too happy. I've had a number of problems and the user interface is very confusing, but my biggest issue is that the strength of the coffee varies from cup to cup and I can't seem to make the adjustments described in the manual. Any ideas?
Welcome to the club of unhappy Dacor coffee machine owners. The problem you are having is the problem everyone has had. The only thing I can suggest that has worked most often for me is not leaving the machine on for very long. I think the temperature gets messed up if it is left on too long. I just use mine now for a few cups in the am and then I turn it off. I've been so frustrated with it that I have gone back to my french press. One of the posters on this site actually got Dacor to buy her machine back. I will probably try that route as well.She replaced it with a Meile and is very happy with it. Good luck!

Owned our machine for three years. Nothing but problems, and has not worked for a year now.
Problems the first year under Dacor warranty period:
Machine had small fire in the wiring. Dacor replaced the unit, but took three months of phone and service calls before we had the new machine.
Problems with the second machine included:
Board burnt out twice
Solenoid valve went out
Boiler went bad
All were replaced and repaired by Dacor, but not without much hassle and constant phone calls.
Most disappointing was I always assumed we would be able to purchase from Dacor their "Dacor Ease" extended warranty, and even if the machine was problematic, at least know that Dacor would stand behind it. NO, they quit offering it and again our machine is broken. I am very upset at Dacor for not taking care of their customers on this one with a fair resolution. We are open to a class action lawsuit or ??

I am in the same situation. they replace the first one because the temperature probe broke after 6 months of usage. i got about 14 months out of the second one which has now been broke for 3 months and no repair in site. the warrant people are slow and do not care about customer satisfaction.
If we could get a class action suit i would join.
FYI Electrolux is now marketing the same machine

I had the SAME problems with my Dacor coffee maker. I am LIVID!! And would welcome a class action lawsuit. Anyone know how to get it started?? Let's get moving on it! This company cannot just get away with this and then start marketing under another name?!?! That's just wrong!!
