Question about Epson Stylus CX6400 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I just recently can not use my printer. It will scan or attempt to start to print, then suddenly make this loud jamming sound- almost grinding. then it stops completely and it tells me to contact support??? When I looked inside I noticed a lot of excess ink on the right/ left sides that seemed to be dried up and just gobbed up. I cleaned some of it up with no change. Any ideas??? I am about to throw it out the window! Thanks firstname.lastname@example.org
Clean up the Linear Scale - that's the thin strip behind the ink carrier, above the gold toothed belt.
I used Vodka as I had no access to industrial alcohol (I guess gin would work as well). This strip is very important, so be careful with it, but do persevere. My printer was condemned and is now working fine again.
