Does the click come from the button or does it come from inside the device it self.

If it is coming from inside then there is power to the system.

If there is not a click from the inside, there are normally 2 fuses, 1 in the plug and one inside on the primary side of the Power supply.

If the front display does not light up at all when the press the power button, it is usually either the main power fuse or the power transformer. If the fuse is blowing, that usually means a short in the amp section.

Denon AVR-1908 won't power on

Are you getting a standby light at all? Is it flashing? Do you here a click when you plug the unit in? If the answer is no to all of these then you blew a fuse. If you do have soome sort of standby light, then your set is in protect mode. More than likely for a blown channel. If no lights, but you ar egetting a click, you could have a bad transformer. Use a DVM and see if it is open or not. Good luck

A missing voltage selector

I would start buy checking your main fuses. Also check all of your output transistors. Odds are you blew a channel.

Of course it can be repaired, but not by us and maybe not economically. Take it to a tech.

Try disconnecting the speakers and a new fuse. Maybe it's just a speaker shorted. Low probability.

Blows main fuse when power is turned on

Shorted power supply/module is most likely problem.

Won't power up; push power button on, hear click in back left of unti, get nothing on front display and no output from speakers; as if unit trying to operate

Disconnect the speakers and see what happens. Carefully examine the speaker cables for unwanted connections (shorts).
Take a clue from when the power problem appeared. Something was moved and made the buzz a (probable) dead short.

This condition, may be produced by defective components (Q506, Q507). you can remove those transistor, replace the fuses, power-on and wait for relays click. if the fuses not blown again, them replace both transistor.

Power comes on but speakers do not make noise

Stereo Tech: yes their is a fuse inside that possibly opened, but does the unit show PROTECT across the display? if not you may have goten lucky and just did a fuse small PC board just behind the transformer. Good Luck
