Unit 4 yrs.old..many service calls.lasst one the serviceman said a wrong fan motor had been installed. had to replace the compressor!
I have NEVER heard of any manufacturer having LESS than a 5-year manufacturer warranty on ANY HVAC or HEATING Units.
I'm almost certain YOU did not replace the motor. I'm assuming a certified HVAC company installed the motor AND the compressor??? If so, you need to take all receipts to a local Department of Consumer Affairs Office for your city/county/state and file a complaint/lawsuit against the company who is at fault. Or, you may need to consult a local attorney to represent you in court against the dealer. If so, you will need to complete a Bill of Particulars against the dealer/technician.

I have seen SO many homeowners blind-sided and mislead by dealers and HVAC Technicians. Many companies are out there to make a quick dollar. I've seen it too many times.
I was born and raised on a farm in Northwestern Pennsylvania where my grandfather and father taught us how to repair what we possibly could in order to keep equipment/systems running and keep costs down on the farm. I was taught to be honest and sincere. I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1991 after an honorable 21-1/2 year career. I just recently retired from the U.S. workforce. It makes me sad to see honest folks taken advantage of by dishonest business associates.
