Hi swabags_2299, these instructions will help you, first, click on the "Start" button", paul7of9_66.jpg in the "Start Search Window, Type: keyboard; the "Keyboard Properties" paul7of9_67.jpg window will open. You can (Test) to see exactly how your keyboard is responding. If you are still having the same problem, (Check the Keyboard Status), try "Updating the Drivers," by clicking on the "Properties" button. paul7of9_68.jpg Now in the event that neither of these solution solve the problem, which I hope you shouldn't have to do anymore; try "Uninstalling the Keyboard. To "Uninstall the "keyboard," do the following. Shut-down (turn- off completely), disconnect all the Keyboard Devices that are attached to the Computer. Next, turn-on the computer, and go back to the "Keyboard Properties," this time click on the "Change Settings" button, paul7of9_69.jpg next click on the "Driver" button, and select the "Uninstall" button. paul7of9_70.jpg Once that is finished, shut-down the computer again. Now you want to "Reconnect" all the devices that were connected before, and "Turn-on" the computer. You will repeat exactly what you did from the start, this will "Reinstall the Keyboard. Restart the computer again after all changes have been made; this will ensure the changes take place properly. "I hope this information is helpful, thanks for using FixYa, paul7of9"

The keyboard completely stopped working. Unable to type at all...any suggestions? I have disconnected and reconnected the keyboard and restarted the computer.

Turn off the computer, disconnect and reconnect the keyboard, restart your computer. If that does not work, try a different keyboard. If that still does not work than try a usb keyboard instead of a ps/2 keyboard or vice-vers. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

more info would be beneficial in diagnosing exactly whats wrong.. but try to rule out a few obvious things first. try disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard and make sure it is properly seated in the usb/ps2 port. download spybot S&D and scan your computer to remove any keyloggers/trojans/malware that may be hogging your cpu and thus bogging down the Input from your keyboard.

Neither the logitech wireless mouse or the wireless keyboard will work

Without the specific model keyboard/mouse involved, it is a little difficult to point you to the exact solution. However, I would suggest making sure that your installation of the controlling software did not get corrupted. Additionally, check the physical components and make sure all connections are intact and nothing was damaged (cords, batteries in place, etc.)

Additionally, very likely that the receiver needs to be "reconnected" to the keyboard/mouse. See here for an example of this issue related to the MX600 model. It is also suggested to ensure that you have the most recent version of the SetPoint software installed. (This should not have had an impact on functionality simply by moving it, but doesn't hurt to be current!)
