Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
Tried to download and install iTunes
7 onto Acer and I get an error message that says "the version of this
file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.
Check your computer's system information to see whether you need x86
(32-bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program and then contact the
software developer". Why on earth isn't the Acer operating system compatible with the most popular freeware available on the planet? Any ideas?
Also, when I tried to load a printer driver, the CD drive stopped working. Any ideas here?
Tips for a great answer:

iTunes will install in Program Files (x86) even the 64 bit version. There are also iTunes files in Program Files as well. This is normal. It appears that the 64 bit version is really a hybrid of both 32 and 64 bit, the drivers mainly being 64 bit. Having itunes.exe 32* in the Task manager is normal
A lot of people are having problems with itunes 9.1. You can get 9.03 at this site. It ran flawlessly for me.
hope this helps
