You will need to open the box of your computer, assuming it is a desktop. The ram or memory is usually located near the power supply below it. They are small boards slot into a slot and has two pegs either side to hold it in place. Before you go out and by new ram you will need to make sure it is compatible to your motherboard. The best way to do this is to take a stick along with you so you can purchase the correct type. Once you know the correct type, you will need to know whether it will run on your system and how much memory your motherboard will run on. Most retailers or computer tech should be able to let you know as long as you know what type of computer you have. If it is a brand name it's easier. Like for instance Acer, Dell or Samsung and also if it's a pentium 3 or 4.

How can we solve the problems of Ram code error 2000-0123

Sub out the ram memory one at a time if possible and see if there are any changes, if you have the one stick remove and reseat back in position, if no change, replace ram and upgrade to 1GB, "2X512MB" one for each slot.

Continuous short beep when start... no boot up, already change the power supply and few rams for testing, but no change. should the motherborad or cpu fail?

processor failure does not produce beeping sounds, are you sure that your extra rams are working? try to change the video card if you have the removable one. then if you're using the built in video card, try removing the sound card and modem cards or lan cards.beeping sounds is only for ram errors and any other hardware but not limited to motherboards. by the way try to clean the slot for rams, video cards and others. this would help.

I have lenova 7393A65 desktop.now i am having 512mb ram.After changing it to 1gb system hangs.

If you changed or replaced your RAM with correct manufacturer then it should not be create a such a type of hang problem..

i think you should try Transcend RAM best quality of service is provided by this manufacturer...

the solution is remove your current 1 gb ram then insert both in two slots......also change the position alternately if it doesn't work...

Thank you for giving me opportunity to solve your problem.

please give me your Ratings!!

My system says, (RAM) radon access memory low cpu intel (r) pentium 4 cpu, version 2.80 ghz. RAM 256 mb. What can I do to resolve this problem. Dell 4700 dimension

Windows XP requires a "bare-minimum" of 128MB of RAM, works "OK" with your 256MB of RAM, if you don't open too many programs at the same time, and if you close/re-open Internet Explorer about once an hour of usage.

But, Windows XP would be _much_ "happier" if you added 256MB or 512MB of RAM, because it is telling you ("available random access memory is low") that it is using all the RAM.

Add more RAM -- your computer will run much better.

Ram problem?

Most likely your system has UMA video (Unified Memory Architecture) which means that system RAM is used for Video. Many systems dynamically allocate RAM resources to the Video, thus you get the varying amounts of RAM accessible indicated. This is a normal function and system is working as designed.

I put in a 512MB PC-133 memory stick and all my pc does is beep 3 times when I turn it on

1). Changed ram is of high frequency so its not supporting ur motherboard, change the ram and see to its frequency (eg. pc100, pc133)
2). Or you might have wrongly attached the ram to motherboard, so ram slot might have burnt.

I have replaced my RAM but now when I turn on my laptop there is no hard disk drive recognised. What can I do?

You have to modify your computer setup by telling it about the new RAM. Have you done that?
