Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Ink bay Printer refuses to print because one ink cartridge bay is registering no ink, even with a fresh ink cartridge installed. There is no maintainance tab in the software to run a clean up and no advice in trouble shooting.

Can you print with only the black cartridge in the printer?

Sorry, but Lexmark does a check on the color cartridges before printing. Even if you are only printing in B/W, the printer will refuse to work without color cartridges installed and full of ink.

My printer is EPSON STYLUS T10, it does not work but their's a confirmation that my ink is no more, but since there is,, answer me please, how i must repair...

This is a major problem with epson printers. Each ink cartridge has a chip which estimates the amount of ink remaining. In my experience this is always WRONG, it always tells the printer that there is less ink than there actually is. Along with this, if any one of the cartridges registers as empty, then the printer will refuse to print. If you use remanufactured or refilled cartridges then you will probably get these problems. You have no option but to replace the cartridges even though you know there is ink in them.

Do I NEED 2 ink cartridges on the Lexmark 2500. Never use the color ink. Installed new black cartridge, did the alignment and now printer won't let me print. Help

Yes you do need 2.
All ink cartridge bays has to be filled with a working cartridge, for the print driver to allow you to print. That is why I prefer single ink type printers, so it is not so expensive to maintain the inks you don't use.

Apologies for not responding earlier, forgot all about it. Solved problem by switching printer on and off many times. It eventually recognized cartridges. Now leave it switched on.

Colour cartridge missing but I only want to print

No you cannot. Each one of your cartridges is smart chipped. When this cartridge registers as empty it acts as an on/off switch thus turning the printer off.'

You need to replace the empty cartridge in order to print.

Go printer settings and check option to print only black.

Does not print properly-even after installing brand new cartridge

most likely your ink nozzles have clogged up.
try several cleanings, if it still does not work, you probably have to get the printhead replaced.

Ink cartridge (not) installed properly

For the Canon iP1800 printer are you sure you're using the 30 for black and 31 for color?

And make sure they "click" when installed. That should confirm that they're nice and tight in their ink compartments.

Besides that, maybe reinstalling the printer drivers could do something?

Ink cartridge light keeps blinking

you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.

Replaced the black ink cartridge and it comes up no printer cartridge.

As suggested a couple of minutes ago, with a fresh cartridge installed, disconnect power (unplug) and let the unit rest for an hour or so and then reconnect it.
This may clear an internal error register.
