Question about Linksys WUSB54GSC Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter w/ SpeedBooster [WUSB54GSC] (LS-SB54GSC)
My wireless dongle will show whatever networks are in range, but when I try and connect to it, I'll get an error message that says ' Windows cannot connect to [network], Windows will keep trying...', but only a couple days ago it was working just fine.
TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2 & Vista.
For XP, Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt.
For Vista, Start, Programs\Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.
Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log
Reboot the machine.
if the Issue presist then you need to try System restore
If Windows XP starts loadTOCNode(3, 'moreinformation'); 1. Log on to Windows as Administrator. 2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts. 3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next. 4. On the Select a Restore Point page(try the date 2 dats prior it was working or the First Bolded Date of that month), click the most recent system checkpoint in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next. A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK. 5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer. 6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page appears. 7. Click OK.
