Here is a link to the Sharp page where you can get the current version of the software that SHOULD work with Windows 7: http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx
You may have to go off to the right side and pick the device (Electronic register) and downloads (Software and Drivers)
Hope this helps... Dale
They do not have that register listed. I am having the same problem, as I have switched computers and can not find CD.
If you do not see the CD/DVD rom Drive listed as one of your drives under My Computer or Computer depending on the version of Windows then there are normally only 2 other possibilities. The drive is bad or the connection on the board for the drive is bad. The most common for this type of drive is drive failure. I have seen a lot of drive failures. A simple way to test this is to put a recovery CD in and restart the computer. If it runs the recovery CD and asks you if you want to reinstall windows then you can cancel the install and you know its a windows problem (this is assuming that your computer is set to start to the cd drive first in your bios) if it skips the installation disk then its more than likely a drive issue.
