If I have to cancel something I hold down the orange button until the printer is completely silent. If I am desperate I just turn it off. It has always worked for me - not sure if it is the right way to do things or not :)

(If your operating system is Windows) Click "Start" then, "Printers and Faxes", now in the Printers and Faxes folder, double click the Printer's icon, again on the new windows, click "Printer" menu and then click "Cancel All Documents" again "yes" and close all the windows and programs. Turn off the printer and turn back on after a couple of minutes. If this doesn't clear the print jobs, repeat the same procedure and restart both the computer and the printer. This will definitely cancel all the print jobs/queues.

try testing page by pressing continuously cancel button onthe printer.
you don't need the manual to do that you can do that in the setting of the printer on your pc
1 open control panel or if you have XP there is direct access from the start button
2 click printers and fax icon
3 right click the icon of the clp 300
4 click on the properties
5 click the setting tabs
6 in that page there will be a setting for the colour and you set that to B/W or colour this will set the printers default.
in most aplications that you use befor you print you get a print dialogue box with where you are to print to, and so on you can access the printer properties that way aswell and then just for that print job you can have B/W or colour
