For every thing you want to connect to an USB connector, you FIRST have to install the software. Most of the time the software comes on a disk in the package or there is a link on paper, you have to use to get the software.
In the software is a driver, so the device is recognised by the computer (drivers for different computers must be included) and then there is software so you can manage the device from your computer.
Please read the manual before you start installing. And check what computer is needed.
I have a stunning new breakthrough on the frequently cited problem - "I cannot add any more songs to my Mp3 Player." Before we proceed, I am assuming that the reason you cannot add any more files has nothing to do with available memory space. Of course, if your Mp3 player is full, it will not accept any more songs. But, I am assuming that this is not your problem. Apparently, if you add too many folders, especially via Playlist, via Windows Media Player, the Mp3 player's file system will become unstable - it can only handle a certain number of additional folders.
To resolve the issue:
1. Connect the player to the PC using the USB cable. 2. Open Windows Media Player. 3. Go to the Sync or Devices tab and delete all content from the player. 4. Go to the Tools menu and select Options. 5. Select the Devices tab, highlight the ILO or Siren player and click on Properties. 6. Uncheck the box "Create Folder Hierarchy on Device"
Now, when music is transferred, it will be placed in the root directory of the flash memory disregarding the folder structure and allowing all tracks to be seen.
This procedure was designed for Siren Mp3 players, but is applicable to many other Mp3 players. It is not a guaranteed fix for every Mp3 player and every error of this type, but it is certainly not a widely known or reported solution. i hope that this benefits many Mp3 player owners who are experiencing this issue.
It needs the drivers and software inorder to interface with the computer. Google the company and player model and see if there is software and drivers available for your device. Some players require certain drivers that your operating system does not have.
You will need a proper media convertor that is recognisable for your Coby. Down this sofware from the Coby media player downloads and install this in your computer. Convert all your movies within the computer to convert using the sofware , connecting your Coby to the PC , copy to the player. Repeat the process for all the video files. Hope this helps you. Good day
Media Manager is just the software that allows you to sync, the MP3 player should still show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'. If not, check your connections, something should also appear on the MP3 player screen when connected to the computer.
maybe your cable you use has a defect just use another USB cable or esle you can directly plug your USB cable at the back of you CPU direct to the mother board
Coby no longer keeps a full user manual for this product, but you can use Windows Media Player to transfer your songs onto the player. It is not compatible with iTunes, but you can use the Rip tab in Windows Media Player to rip songs from a CD - you have to go into the Rip Options and change the Rip format to Mp3 first. Coby does have a video on the process at: http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=tutorial
You can also load mp3 files from a music service such as Limewire into your computer's "My Music" folder - Windows Media Player should automatically detect the songs, but it may take a few minutes.
If you have Windows XP, installation cd is not required, you just plug the unit into your computer, the computer will automatically recognize the device.
