The speed control on this motor stopped working - only full speed is available now. I replaced the foot pedal with a friends and still have the same problem. Where can I look for the problem - any ideas what I should be looking for....

Hello hfreel, check control board and wiring in the head of the trolling motor, The variable speed control element or the connection has shorted to provide only full speed. Merry Christmas.
