Hello. I can't totally logout of facebook on my mobile through the mobile site. It shows always online when I am mot. There was submit button instead of logout one time so I clicked it and that's when the problem started. I go to facebook on the mobile site and when I see the full site a disabled chat warning sign is there. It says to log out and log in to enable. Tried this repeatedly but apparently I'm not logged out. My facebook on my laptop is fine it is on the mobile. Please help.

Unfortunately all you can do on that phone is to go on My accounts and click on the Facebook account and delete it from there . If you need to Login again you will need to reconfigure it completely.
But there is another option, less destructive = automatic logoff. For that read here

Not in m.facebook (which is the mobile version), in the regular facebook site, from a desktop pc. If it's the same then do what i said first - delete the account from the phone. For that follow (on a desktop) the third advice from here
    http://www.facebook.com/help/?search=how...

  • Azrael SRL Apr 22, 2011

When you reinstall the app it picks the same settings so you end up in the same situation as before. You must remove the account from its settings before uninstalling it.

  • Azrael SRL Apr 22, 2011

On your phone: Menu --> Settings --> Accounts and check for the Facebook account (and every related one) then delete it> Then go in your Facebook in a desktop, and follow thishttp://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=13452 to delete the Android app.

  • Azrael SRL Apr 24, 2011

Last hope attempt - get a different phone with a different OS and a different app and try to access your account and log in and out from it . If you can't do that i think it's time to contact Facebook directly and ask them to do it for you because most likely it's a fault in their servers.

You could try to hard reset your LG Ally, many of the problems can be solved through the hard reset.
Remember to back up your LG Ally first, for the hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
Hard Reset -::>Turn off your LG Ally, press and hold the volume (up or down), home and power keys simultaneously.

  • Anonymous Apr 21, 2011

Also have you tried to enable your facebook chat from your PC,or from another mobile phone?

  • Anonymous Apr 22, 2011

You should try the reset procedure as a last resort.

The problem is how java keeps sending the login / out packets, and keep alive , the only fix I know of is to uninstall the mobile app from your phone and then reinstall it. Not sure what phone you have but the process is the same, connect it to computer, launch your phone management software, remove the application reinstall the application.
ps. you can also try a battery pull, remove the battery from your phone. wait a bit then put it back in. (dont work in most phones)

in your mobile browser enter this as a url (go to site) or goto webpage etc how ever you have it..
firstly go to the m.facebook page, then go to this url.
    http://m.facebook.com/logout.php?confirm...

    will force java to logout

    try this http://m.facebook.com/logout.php?confirm...

make sure u enter it as is, its a java injection hack that should log you out and redirect you to google.

  • Anonymous Apr 27, 2011

when it redirects you to the google page it leaves the face book page logs you out. But once you revist the facebook page, because your username and password is stored in the mobiles cache memory it logs you back in instantly, follow the instructions again to log out, as soon as you do clear the phones cache memory and password log from the browser your using options. If you have multiple browsers installed you will need to do it for them all.

Hello!

what brand and model is your mobile phone?

Have you tried this solution before?
access facebook.com on your phone using the address " m.facebook.com " then log out.
see if that fix the problem
you can also go for the chat and select the " go offline "

  • Anonymous Apr 21, 2011

    Hello!

I am sorry for my late response.

Here are two ways that you need. First, is how to log out from facebook.com and Secondly, how to go offline on chat

On your Android, click on " Facebook " on the top. (It is the facebook apps on your android and not the one you access on your browser) Once clicked, then comes out News Feed, Profile, Friends, Messages, Places, Chat, Groups, Events, Photos and Requests. When you are there click the menu button and it will shows Settings, Refresh, About and Logout. Click the LOGOUT

To go offline, click on the Chat icon. Once you are in the chat screen, press the menu button on the bottom left on the front of your phone. Once you press that button, an option will pop up that say "Go Offline"

Every time you access the Facebook application on your Android, go first to the chat icon and go offline.

How to make second account on Facebook

You need a different email, so make sure to set up your email first. Logout of facebook then go back to facebook and create new acct with your other email and setup a new user name. Now you can setup the new acct as you wish. I had one acct strictly for games that I used from one browser and kept my original acct for friends and family that I used with a different browser so I always had both logged in and available. I used Gmail for both emails so it was easy to toggle between emails.

Need to logout of facebook on droid x but there is no account or logout option

There are two places your phone can sign in to Facebook. One is in the Facebook app and the other is in the accounts menu.
To sign out of the app just open it up and push the Facebook icon at the top of the screen. After that select push the menu button and select "Logout'.
If your Droid is syncing with contacts and numbers with Facebook you may have signed in to Facebook with Motorola interface. To sign out open the Apps -> Settings -> Accounts . Click on the Facebook account and remove it.

How do I disconnect from facebook

I can't get what exactly you did mean. If you mean to logout, then click "Account" on the Top-Right corner of the page and click "LogOut".

If you mean, you want to delete your facebook account permanently, let me know, since it's risky and once you've done can't be reverted, I don't included it here. Thanks.

Good luck.

It wont let me sign up it's alwys coming up right to my facebook but now im trying to get somebody else one and it wont let me

When you type www.facebook.com into the address bar, you're saying that it always opens YOUR Facebook account? But now you're trying to sign someone else up? You can Logout of your Facebook and then it'll show the sign up screen.
If you have the new layout from Facebook, the "logout" button is under "Account" on the top right corner at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
