I just purchased a Lenovo desktop pc with windows 7 and microsoft office 2010 and the Lexmark e260d printer. Printer is working fine through the tray with all the software. I am having a problem printing through the manual feed. Put the paper into the manual feed. It accepts the paper by rolling it in about 1 inch and stops. Then when I tell it to print it goes another 1/2 inch and stops permanently. I have to turn the printer off then on to get the printer to start again. I inspected the printer and there are no obvious obstructions. How can the problem be resolved?

Make sure you are installing CURRENT drivers/software offered by HP for your printer for Windows 7. Get it here:

Maybe the issue is not printer related. Maybe Word 2010 needs some sort of update. Windows Update will update Windows OS and other Microsoft products (I have a Windows 7 PC running Office 97, Windows Update treats it like Office 2003 and STILL updates it!).

It could be a software issue. Try to uninstall the existing Lexmark Pro901 driver from your desktop pc by going to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark -> Pro900 Series -> Uninstall Lexmark Pro900 Series. Reboot pc when prompted.
Now, check your Windows 7 if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to the Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.

Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.

Go to the lexmark website and download the software for free. Once you download the software and drivers, reboot your pc and it should work fine.
