No sound from my PC

Hello,

I have lost sound from my PC. Apparently I have no audio device, and I have been trying to download something to fix it. I am reluctant to download something if it's something I can fix myself through the control panel. Any ideas?

Goto control panel and click on "add hardware", let the computer search for the sound device.

If after the search it cannot find it then the sound card is probably faulty.

please state you computer model for futher analysis

Here's a link to the download page for Realtek Audio drivers. I have installed many audio drivers, and this realtek has never failed me yet. I'd suggest you try it. Good luck.

Troubleshoot: Unless you already did this, go to Device Manager and check the properties of all other hardware involved.

Sound problem

Hello....
No Sound, No Volume Control, Mixer not Found, No Sound device installed…etc etc, This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this issue began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....

NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service and help everyone affected by this stupidity from Microsoft.

I formatted my computer and the sounds not working any more. i have no drivers they also got lost. help

Hello,

Since I don't see the exact model listed that you need the driver for, I can only suggest that you locate the model number and visit the manufacturers website to download the correct driver. The model is usually on the front or back of the tower.

If you can get me the model number and operating system I will be able to give you better instructions.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Thanks

Lost sound

fist of all check any extrnal speakers with your pc or
1. Check all your connections and make sure you have them in the correct places and connected completely.

2. Check your sound settings on your computer. Go to Start, Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices and see if it is turned up or if it is muted.

3. With the above it will be able to tell you if the driver is missing. If so go to the HP website and get the Audio Drivers for your computer. Install thoses and restart your PC and go through steps 1,2 again if there is no sound. Now if that fails you may have bad speakers.

Get a cable two male ends. Look for the female end on your screen. Put one male end into the port on on your screen and the other end into the port "AUDIO ONE" on your computer.

Try this it should work. The Multi-PIN cable is only for VIDEO, you need another cable for AUDIO.
