Amplifier keeps going on to standby

Your amplifier more than likely has DC Offset, a damaged amplifier. If you are interested in having your Teac repaired, please refer to my website, audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

Fisher CA-885 Integrated Stereo Amplifier stuck in stand-by mode

Given the heat/cold cycles of the storage area along with humidity, I would first suspect poor solder connections. This is not unusual for units of this age. A general overhaul should restore this to operation. This should be a labor only repair unless the output STK is bad. These units are known for having poor connections at the voltage regulators which cause a DC voltage offset triggering the protection circuit. The overhaul should address this as well.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Connect teac ar 600 amp to digital optical output on new TV

Should be easy if it has a optical input. If not you will need a digital to analog converter with a optical input. Some have optical, some coaxial some both. Do a web search. I know they are out there, just not sure how much.

The amp is going into "protect mode". This means there is a bad part or parts being detected. Professional service will be needed.
