Xerox phaser 8550 - no lcd display. tried switching off and unplugging and restrating. No success.

    I'm having the same problem with mine. The LCD display works some of the time, sometimes the display dim, and sometimes doesn't work at all.

    Seems like the screen works and doesn't work as it pleases. Not sure where the loose connection is..Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks

    I have the exact same issue. I have been looking for a new lcd for the printer online i was told this was the solution. A new one is 500 and its not worth it. The printer is dated.

    Same here. Display is blank most of the time but occasionally when you can dimply make it out, but only until a button is pressed or status change causes a screen change then it goes blank. It's a great printer but I'd like to find a reasonably priced fix.

I called and they are sending me a new one. The number I found for this is 877-571-7765 - You will need your serial number on the insude of the front flat - pull grey handle.

Just got mine replaced by calling 877-571-7765. (There's something about a phone support charge on their main support line that this number seems to avoid.) Apparently, each printer is "entitled" to one replacement control panel module.

It is a known issue. Just call with the serial number and they'll send a new one free of charge.

Excellent Customer Service for an out-of-warranty machine!

Is a known problem with the 8550 and lcd going bad. try calling xerox even if you out of warranty and tell them that this a known issue with this model and they may send you one free of charge.

Control panel is blank even though power is on

Display panel dim


You can call 1-800-835-6100 and they will send you a new display. There is a known problem with those on that machine.

Hi i have phaser 8560, it gives me a error 09,038,46:62248, plese who can solve me the problem.

The onlty thing I can find close to this is.
Acording to the manual its a ink loader error like your loading the wrong type of ink like the puzzles pieces arent matching and hitting the sensor flags right. Yours by the 8 is referring to the black ink. Anyway go to troubleshooting on the control panel. then to service tools. when in service tools press and hold the up arrow while still pressing the up arrow press the down arrow. the display should say hidden menus. go to diagnostic mode press enter go to funtion menu. then go to clear ISC fault and enter. ISC=ink stick count fault. I hope that helps. Just to let you know Ive had nothing but problems with third party ink and once its in the system its hard to get out so I would watch what im doing with my expensive equipment

Xerox Phaser 8550 having color quality issue


If you are using third party ink sticks contact the manufacture and they will, if you use enough of thier product, send you a new print head and send out a tech to change it. Media Science is the most likely source of third party ink.
You can also switch to Xerox ink sticks and the colors will be correct after several purges to get rid of the old ink.

Xerox 8550 DN display does not work and printer does not print


This model of printer has a known fault with the LCD panel.

Contact xerox in your country, who will arrange to have a replacement front panel sent out to you to install

This happens to mine occasionally after I have put it into standby a few times. If I reboot this always sorts it out.

Phaser 8550 cyan doesn't print


If you go to the Xerox.com site and click support and drivers. enter phaser 8550 and there is a printhead update you need to get, You have to fill out a form.
That may be your problem since there is no fault code.
