Hi
This seems to be an issue with the display going bad. Please check the ribbon cable to the display, confirm it is fixed firmly and not cut. If cable seems to be fine then unplug the oven for 1-2 hours and check, else you may need to replace the display. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

After you take out the control panel you will see the ribbon cable connecting both the control panel and the power board take that out and clean the board....you can also blow air on the board....if this wont solve the issue then yes service call is required if you are not comfortable replacing it yourself

I do not know what a "ribbon cable" is. In order to unplug the oven for 1-2 hours we need to get it out of the wall cabinet or at least move it out enough to reach the plug. How difficult is this? If the display needs to be replaced it probably is going to require a service call. Yes? No? Any idea of cost? Is the display dimming like this a sign the whole thing is about to crash? I'm having 12 for dinner Easter Sunday and I know a "FIX" of any kind is not happening before that, but by the same token I can't have my ovens crash this week!!! Charisse
We'll try it. What have we got to loose? Thanks!
