Need to check your system standby time in controle panel then click on display and at the bottom you should see power options click on it it has different settings your computer can do for the monitor to turn off the harddrive to turn off ext ect and there is a advanced option for the system hibernation which will also turn off your computer after so long if it is not set right good luck

System=intel Celeron D W3507 When I turn it on it goes straight to a black screen asking for a system password I've tried every password I know but I can't get in please help

If you don't see windows, then it's a BIOS password, and you would know if you set one. Unplug it and hit the power button, then touch metal, and pull the battery out for ten minutes. After you put the battery back in the motherboard, and plug it in you need to hit delete at start and enter the BIOS to set the time and date, then move over to exit and save changes.

I have a Dell 2400 it starts up fine but after about ten minutes the light turns from green to yellow and I lose any picture it reminds me of a sleep or hibernation mode but I know it does not have that....

Is this light on the computer, or on the monitor?

I suspect that it happens when you try to watch a movie or listen to music - something that doesn't involve typing on the keyboard or using the mouse? If so, then your computer goes to suspend mode. You have to open the Control Panel, Power settings, and select an "Always on" power scheme, and additionally change the "monitor off" option to Never. Then click "Apply", close the window and you should be fine.

It sounds like your power supply is about to fail. Luckily, this is a cheap and simple part to replace. Hope this helps...
