Hi.
Error 8 means you have no clerk (operator) signed on to use the machine. You need to find your CLERK or CLK# button. Firstly, press 1 on the number pad, then CLK# or whatever the button is labelled on your machine. Some versions have 4 push down type buttons near the mode key, above the keyboard. If they are there, make sure one is pressed down also.

Good luck. Let me know if you have trouble.

Mark

Error code

First check to be sure there is not a key stuck down. Not sure what type of cash register you have. Many times you have to perform a RAM clear and reprogram. Sounds like you have lost the program. Also is the drawer closed some registers have a switch and also need programming to operate the keyswitch with the drawer open...Good luck

Casio CE-3700 cash register MAC instructions

Hi. I would advise both of you to try a flag clear first to see if you have any program left.

Turn key to program. Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED, and turn power on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG and try it.

If you still need help, let me know.
