I understand that you're not getting sound on the recorded videos when playing it in the Camera itself. Unfortunately, due to the bad design, the Camera does not have a built in speaker to generate sound when playing videos. It is required to connect the Camera to a TV or transfer the recorded videos to Computer to hear the audio on the videos.

Nikon D90 Playback Sound

First, make sure you're recording sound. In the Shooting Menu, check Movie settings/Sound and make sure it's turned on.

Then, while playing back a video, press zoom-in (the magnifying glass icon) to increase the volume.

I'm sorry but the C183 doesn't play the sound from videos when you play back in the camera. It does have a little speaker to make sound effects, and it does capture sound which you hear when you play back on the computer...

The C182 records audio but does not play it back. To hear your videos, first transfer them to your computer and play them back there.

I can record/play a video, but during play back there's no sound.

Check your display(on screen) do you see a word "NARRATION"? if so switch that off(can be found in the menu). Or it could be your internal speaker busted. To confirm connect it to your TV, sound must be heard on tv. Otherwise, have it check by the expert. Good luck

No sound on playback

Try playing any other recorded disc in the Camcorder to check you're able to hear sound from it.

Next, press and hold the Reset button on the Camcorder for 30 seconds then turn it off then back ON.

Then, try playing the disc in the Camcorder.
