When you purchased the Mcafee's did you get a fill download of dmsetup.exe? If you did, run this and it will ask for you user and password you set in Mcafee we site.
Also go back into www.mcafee.com and scroll on Home and Home Office tab. Then scroll on list of items onto My Account. Then a page will open up with login and follow instructions to get into your account. In your account will be the list of products that you wish to download if you have bought and aslo some trial downloads. Click on the download that you wish and follow all instructions. You will end up downloading the file DMsetup.exe. Make sure to remeber where you save it to. Most of the time it's on you DeskTop or in your MyDocuments folder. Run the file to download Mcafees to you system.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

HOW TO RE INSTALL I HAVE ACCOUNT

You say you have an account. Then you have the product key to install it. If you purchased it in a box, the product key will be on the box or on the disk sleeve. If you downloaded it you will have received an email with the product key.

To reinstall, either use the disk in the box, look for the file you downloaded, or go to the McAffee site downloads page and re-download the trial version for free... once you have installed it, you can re-enter the product key, and it will register as owned.

If you have purchase a Disc with an antivirus program on it, you have a few options.

1.) Using another computer copy your disc to a flash drive

2.) Download the TRIAL version of the software (norton, Mcaffee, etc..) and then use the serial key off your retail package to register.

3) use an external USB cd rom drive to install the software.

If it is expired then you need to get the mcafee removal tool to remove mcafee and then go to the trial download page and download the trial version to be secured. or you can purchase online as well.

My mcafee virusscan plus not fully instalation

Mcaffee is a pathetic solution of a Virus Scanner.
Go to malwarebytes.org and download the free malware remover. Once you've cleaned your system try to install Panda Free Cloud, if you can't (because it won't install if you still have parts of Mcaffee installed) then use Avira instead. You can get it at either CNET or Avira.com.

My xp home sp3 wants a least 2 restarts before it

"Wants a reboot?" That's strange.

If you have the McAffee software available for re-installation - I would remove McAffee (UNPLUG YOUR NETWORK CABLE, as you'll be naked to the world) and see if it boots OK without McAffee.

If it is happy to boot without McAffee, then try re-installing McAffee and see how it acts.

You can always use something other than McAffee if it ends up being the culprit of your problems.

Also, check for malware. Download MalWare Bytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org) and make sure to update the definitions and run it across your computer. The Quick Mode is effective, and the Thorough Mode takes hours .... :)

Just make sure to be careful when you have no AntiVirus installed to not go playing on the internet .... download MalWare Bytes (install & update) before you remove McAffee and unplug from the world.

ActiveSync not syncing

Typically this means you have a firewall enabled. If your using Windows XP SP2, make sure that ActiveSync is in the exceptions tab of the Windows Firewall (control panel->windows firewall->exceptions). If your using Norton Internet Security, right click on the globe icon in the system tray (near the clock on your task bar) and choose disable, the try syncronizing again. If your using McAffee Antivirus or the McAffee Firewall, you could try McAffee for help configuring that OR uninstall McAffee, uninstall ActiveSync the reinstall ActiveSync then install McAffee and do all of your Antivirus and Firewall definitions updates.
