Not only do I have nothing showing, it reads no signal. Happening often now and Verizon says it is a problem between vizio and verizon boxes not being compatible. Our other vizio does not have this problem and it was bought at the same time.

My spouse dropped the remote & lost the "connection", I called the cable company who said to set the TV to Video 1 but after that didn't work. After some discussion about what was plugged into the DVR I was told I actually needed Component 1. That worked. Hope that helps.

Xbox elite connected to TV thru HDMI works fine, but connected via bcs-fs500 receiver = no audio or video Cable tv through receiver works fine Have tried cable tv through receiver inputs HDMI 1 and 2...

Hook your Xbox to tv via HDMI, then hook TV to reciever through digital optical or composite cables. If you try to get your picture through receiver first, you may get picture and sound but, sound may be delayed and picture might not be the best. Bettter to run through tv first then provide sound to receiver.

Do not use HDMI thru your receiver. Go directly from the Cable box to the TV. Connect coaxial digital or optical to your receiver. Your receiver uses HDMI version 1.1 or 1.2, which is riddled with issues. If you want to read about them, Google HDMI Problems and you can read for hours. Long of the short of it is; Don't pass HDMI thru your receiver, use the receiver for audio only. Hope this answers the question. Sorry for the bad news! I'm in the industry and have been dealing with these issues for a couple years now.

I am installing a comcast DCT6200/2005 CATV CONVERTER. WHAT COMES UP ON MY TV SCREEN IS "THIS CHANNEL SHOULD BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY" WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET THIS TO WORK PROPERLY?

call you cable provider and ensure that the box is correctly identified on your acct. If the serial numbers don't match with the acct then the box won't work

I have a Vizio 42' and a cable box and there's a constant humming

I think I had the same problem. This is how I fixed it.

I have my vizio 42 hooked up to a Harmon Kardon surround sound, and the digital cable box. Essentially, I can adjust the volume 3 ways - through the tv, cable box or av receiver. The humming sound happens when you have the volume maxed out on the av receiver and not the cable box.

For example, the sound level on my Harmon Kardon goes from -10 (lowest) to 10 (loudest), with 0 being the middle ground. The buzzing was happening when the Harmon Kardon was set to 10, and I was using the cable box volume to adjust the sound. To fix it, I turned down the volume on my receiver to 0, which may be about 50% max volume of the receiver. Then, I switched devices and used the volume on my cable box. This got rid of the static I was getting. Hope that helps.

Yes.  Not only does the picture look better you don't have to mess with all the extra cables.
