Does the drum spin when you shut the door and start the dryer if so it wouldn't be a bad door switch. 1st. thing I would check would be the igniter with front kick panel off dryer it's located at the bottom right hand outer side of drum in the burner duct. here's how you check it with door shut start dryer and look for a orange glow from the igniter if no glow it's a bad igniter if it's not the igniter it could be a thermostat or a flame switch check these things if need more help I'll be glad to help.

You have a faulty door switch. Here is the replacement switch.

Disconnect power to dryer. Open door, remove phillips screw from 4 and 8 O'Clock positions, close door. Use putty knife (preferably a plastic one to prevent scratching) to push in the two clips holding the top to the front panel, then swing the top back, revealing the phillips screws holding the front panel onto the body of the dryer. Remove them and un-hook door switch and drum light connections, allowing total removal of dryer front panel. Remove 4 phillips head screws retaining front drum support and lift it up just a bit to remove it. Reach back under drum to the left side to release belt, allowing drum to come out of dryer.

I followed that procedure, Taking the Electronic Control Unit out of the dryer, Blow Drying the printed circuit Board (PCB) Board out and reseating P3 and P4, Worked fine.. No moisture was found in the Drum area. I forgot to tag the TECH SHEET FOR this particular dryer . But punch in Tech sheet , Part # 8546206 into google, this gives Schematic and valuable Troubleshooting steps, The only thing i could not find was the pin to pin test on chekcing the individual switches on the main functions, Suppose to be 14 pins I only found 13. But in all drying the PCB board and reseating the plugs worked for me. Again the symptons were no Light indication on ANY button depressed but the drum light was on. Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Another post reported replacing the power cord. I am trying to determine if this is a factory defect. Check the power at the power cord connections inside the dryer. You could have lost power on one leg and the other 120 volt leg is letting the light work. Let me know what the model and serial number is.
