Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80 Digital Camera
i had my camera in my laptop bag and i pick it up and my camera fell out. so when i turn it on the sony label comes and lens opens then closes like always then it opens and closes again, and again and again and after a few times of opening and closing i get a message saying turn the power off and on. is it a bad lens people sell this camera for parts on ebay. can i install a new lens on it and fix it. it seems like a bug for some reason can i reinstall the software to it a new firmware or a reboot button. sony charges 90 bucks to fix it. id pay the 90 bucks if they do a good job. any help will be greatly appreciated
No you shouldnt repair it yourself it will only make it worse, the lense have become disalligned it can be repaired for you and that is the best option. you can also try gently pulling and twisting the end of the lense and i mean gentle dont twist and pull till it pops. once you have done this switch it off and on and it may have worked to allign the lenses.
