How can I down load my videos from my memory card in my DMC-TZ10 to my mac in iphoto

  • kakima Apr 19, 2011

Is there a reason you want to do this in iPhoto and not iMovie? iPhoto is for still pictures, iMovie for videos.

As long as you didn't shoot the video in AVCHDLite, you can use a card reader and download them to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can open them in iMovie. Macs can't open AVCHD Lite movies.

Panasonic lumix DMC-TZ10 SOFTWARE

Try the free photo cataloging/editing program Picasa.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use the aforementioned Picasa.

I have a video recording on my lexar multi use 4 gb sdhc card when i upload my pictures it loads them but is not loading the video recordings. My camera is panasonic DMC-TZ10! Please help!

1. Are you trying to upload to a program that only works with photos? 2. Are the videos shot in AVCHD lite? Most programs can't open it. Only works with PHOTOfunSTUDIO on a PC computer....won't work at all on a Mac.

I have a 4 GB memory card on my Lumix camera. I have downloaded all videos and photos to my iPhoto on my MAC, but the memory card keeps saying full. There is nothing on the camera as far as I can see. ...

Hi, did you click the option to erase the photos from the card after you imported them into iPhoto? It could be that the images are still on the card and that iPhoto has just deleted the directory.
If you are sure that the photos are all on your Mac then the best thing is to use the camera's menu and reformat the card.
I have made a point of NEVER letting iPhoto delete the pictures but I delete them manually in the camera once I know they are safe in iPhoto. However, I am finding that I am no-longer deleting the photos from the card - when it is full I put it aside and use a new one - they are so cheap now - way cheaper than film is.

How can I transfer my videos taken on my panasonic dmc t10 to my iphoto or itunes library?

The TZ10 behaves like a HD video camera and prefers to work with iMovie to store your footage so you can then edit your video into a Movie (project).
In iMovie select the camera icon (far left button on middle toolbar) to transfer your videos to your Mac. After you edit your footage into a Project, select Share-->iTunes to add your polished project to your iTunes library.
After adding your movie to iTunes, you can always drag it from your iTunes library to the iPhoto icon on the dock to store it there too!
