To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps:
1.Remove any discs from the disc tray.
2.Turn the console off.
3.Turn the console on.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller.

Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller is the controller where the upper-left quadrant light is on.

4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time. This causes the Xbox Dashboard to reset the display settings to the default settings and then automatically restarts the console.

the 2 red lights only appear on the left side of the turn on for your xbox when you have played for a big amount of hours on your xbox i recommend not playing the system for a day so it allows it too cool down if you have this problem if it persist contact a support manager at Microsoft

My xbox shows no picture but has sound

This might not help everybody but it might be a cheap fast solution to the "Xbox 360 no picture but sound ok" problem. I have old refurbished 360 that has had no problems at all. SInce I got it have used it with powerwave cooler attached to the back. This cooler has seperate Outputs for Vga, SVga, audio, component and av. Don't need the microsoft cable at all just standard cables. Always had it plugged in with VGA or SVGA cables and got great picture. I bought new 360 and put the old one in bedroom with old tv which only has av inputs. Got shocking picture that was unwatchable but sound was good. Tried all ways but no different. Seems the xbox plug has problems. If you get the powerwave cooler it splits the xbox output socket in to seperate outputs for everything so you can use it with Vga or Svga cables if your tv has those inputs and it should work fine. Only seems to be the standard AV outputs that have problems. Haven't tried the componet leads but I guess they might work as well. If you only have the old yellow, red and white AV inputs on your tv this wont help you but if you have the other types of inputs it might fix it. The powerwave cooler you should be able to buy for under $20 so it could be a cheap solution for this problem everyone seems to be getting lately. It works for me at least so get one and give it a try.

I have a nyko cooler and i think taht it doesnt work well because when i turn on the 360 it says e68, but when i take out the cooler and i turn it on, it works well

The power supply (aka the power brick) gives out a specific amount of power for your 360. It may not have enough power for the extra cooler too depending on your setup.

Screen turns green or sometimes blue on any game

Same problem and i'm gonna try and find the scart plug that came with the xbox and if that doesn't work , get a new xbox 360 from HMV. By the way, HMV are really good, my xbox has broke twice now and they've gave me 2 new ones no problem. Microsoft need to get it together though!

My 360 is it broke?

just check the av cable you are connecting the console with the tv and check tv settings for the same. i dont think you need to hold any buttons its just a cable problem what is sounds to me.. change the cable if tv is working fine or just check the connections at your friends place and make a note of that and to the same thing at your place with the same connections..

tell me if this works !!

Have a nuce day !!

Xbox 360 no video but have audio after playing madden

Something to try is just leave the xbox on for an hour, turn off let cool for 5 min. If that doesn't work, it's a difficult solution to recommend but the towel trick' does work, let it over heat the 360 for about 20 min, then let it cool for 20 more min, and it now works fine, I have a inner cooler now to keep from overheating again.

Make sure you are on the correct TV Setting. Most TVs have different video settings such as TV, Video 1, Video 2, Component, and many others depending on what type of tv you have. You can find the button on the TV remote. It will probably say something like "TV/Video" on the remote. Hope this helps.
