Question about Karcher 2500 PSI Pressure Washer

1 Answer

Not enough pressure

Got a 2400 psi karcher pressure washer and it is surging. Not a steady spray. We put in a new spark plug. drained gas and carburator. Used new treated gas. Still surges?

Speed regulation on small engines is notriously fussy.
Check the linkage to the carburetor and look for a small, light spring.
If there are several holes for one end of it, you may have to try more than one to find the spring tension that lets the engine run steadier than it now does.
If not, then either replacing it or changing the length by shortening or lengthening it will probably be needed.

check the engine oil and hydraulic pump oil if neither are the case you have a dirty batch of gas. You would need to drain the gas from tank and reservoir then put new gas in it. Water could be in it the filling station could of just got new gas and your gas could of been contaminated
